I first met Mandy and Jeff when they asked me to take their family portraits for Christmas last year, so it was quite an honor when they asked me to be part of their big big day and be capture their wedding! They are the most darling family and I couldn’t wait for them to tie the knot. It was the last day in August and perhaps one of the warmest, which is also something worth celebrating here in Portland! The ceremony and reception took place at Langdon Farms and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting with the beautiful golf course, the big red barn and the lush flower baskets that adorned the property. Perhaps my favorite details were done by Mandy herself, as she created everything from the old cabinet picture frames, to the chevron placements that perfectly matched the whole vintage chic theme! The details were perfection and I loved capturing the thoughtful details from the vintage cameras down to her grandmothers rings she wore on her cowboy boots!
I’m a sucker for weddings as it is, but I welled up a few times during their ceremony, their first dance and the speeches from their best man and matron of honor! There was so much love and emotion during the day that you can tell people were overcome with joy as the Winkleys made it official! Between Mandy & Jeff’s wedding and Amanda & Chad’s wedding the evening before, it made me realize how much I love photographing weddings! Congratulations to Mandy, Jeff and their beautiful children! Wishing them a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness!
This just melts my heart. Matching father-son suits? Converse? Can’t get much cuter than this!
One of my favorite images EVER! SO much emotion…this photographer was a bit teared up!
A final farewell in a Bentley?? The Winkley’s sure know how to celebrate! The perfect ending for a perfect day!
Also, thanks to Esther Judd for being my lovely second shooter for the day!
